While insurance companies sometimes request that lab work be done at specific labs, such as QUEST or LabCorp, patients can still have their labs drawn at Lake Butler Hospital for a small draw fee, typically between $5 and $15, depending on your insurance plan. Having labs done at LBH eliminates inconvenient traveling and is usually more cost-effective in the long term. If you choose to have your labs drawn here, we will submit the physician order for lab work to the appropriate reference lab. A courier from the lab picks up the draws daily, and results are sent directly to the ordering physician. This process will not delay your results in any way.
