Awareness: What Every Woman Should Know
Breast cancer touches so many lives, but you have the power to take action, protect your health, and support each other through this journey. Together, we can build a stronger, more informed community of women, one step at a time.
- Know Your Body: Regular Self-Exams are Key
Your body knows you best, performing monthly self-exams helps you catch changes early, even between mammograms. Trust yourself and reach out to a provider if something feels off. - Early Detection: Age Matters for Screening
Once you turn 40, schedule yearly mammograms, or talk to your doctor about starting earlier if breast cancer runs in your family. Early detection is a powerful act of self-care. - Empower Yourself: Lifestyle Choices Can Lower Your Risk
Staying active, eating well, and limiting alcohol are simple ways to lower your breast cancer risk, empowering you to live a healthier, stronger life. - It’s Not Just Hereditary: Family History Isn’t Everything
Most women diagnosed with breast cancer have no family history—regular screenings are key for everyone, no matter your background. - You Are Never Alone: Local Support is Available
Whether you’re facing breast cancer or supporting someone who is, local groups and programs offer the strength and connection you need to never feel alone.
